- Identify when less common symptoms at end of life such as pruritus, cough, hiccups, muscle and bladder spasms require treatment
- Recommend appropriate non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic management of these symptoms
- Establish goals of treatment and regularly re-evaluate with patient and caregivers
Terri Maxwell PhD, APRN and Marisa Todd, PharmD, BCPS
Terri Maxwell is the Vice President of Clinical Education at Enclara Pharmacia. Terri is responsible for overseeing and contributing to the development of clinical education and resources to assist Enclara Pharmacia’s hospice partners in providing evidence-based symptom management and palliative care to their patients. She obtained her BSN from the University of Rhode Island and a Masters Degree and PhD in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.
As Director of Clinical Education at Enclara Pharmacia, Marisa is responsible for the coordination, integration, maintenance and advancement of Enclara Pharmacia’s education support services. Marisa earned her doctor of pharmacy degree at Wilkes University, Nesbitt School of Pharmacy. She completed a 1-year post-graduate pharmacy practice residency program and maintains certification as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
