Exploring the Potential Use of Wearable Devices as a Prognostic Tool Among Patients in Hospice Care

Researchers in Taiwan investigated the potential of wearable smart devices to monitor patient symptoms remotely in order to prioritize the patient, assist in decision-making, and carry out advanced care planning. Their findings were limited but suggest that wristband devices have potential as prognosis tools in predicting the survival of end-of-life patients in palliative care.
