The Palliative Care Network of Wisconsin (PCNOW) provides peer-reviewed, evidence-based summaries of key palliative care topics (“Fast Facts”). Fast Facts #68 and #69 review differentiating between pain and substance abuse disorder and pseudoaddiction, respectively. PCNOW released these editions in the past with information that is useful and relevant today amidst the opioid epidemic.
