Impact of Frailty on Short-term Mortality and Clinical Outcomes Among Patients With Advanced Heart Failure

In patients with heart failure (HF), frailty is highly prevalent. Frailty is an independent predictor of morbidity, quality of life, health care utilization, and mortality; yet, despite its prognostic implications, frailty screening is not routine among patients with advanced HF. We evaluated the impact of screening for frailty on clinical outcomes among patients with advanced HF.
