The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) is a national organization dedicated to increasing the availability of quality palliative care services for people facing serious illness. CAPC provides peer-reviewed, evidence-based summaries of key palliative care topics, termed “Fast Facts”. Two new palliative care Fast Facts are now available. Fast Fact (#294) introduces opioid-induced constipation (OIC) and discusses well-established treatments while Fast Fact (#295) builds on this topic by discussing emerging management approaches to OIC.
