Pruritus is a less common yet distressing symptom seen in palliative care. There is limited high-quality evidence of medication treatment for pruritus, including the use of paroxetine. This case report describes a 70-year-old with severe pruritus secondary to metastatic ovarian cancer and how it resolved with low dose paroxetine.
