PHILADELPHIA  December 3, 2018 — Enclara Pharmacia (Enclara), the market leader in comprehensive pharmacy benefits management (PBM) services for the hospice community, announces a preferred partnership with WellSky, a leading health and community care technology company, to deliver a more intuitive user experience with seamless integration — from medication profile documentation to patient prescription delivery.

“Enclara and WellSky are both committed to driving value for our customers through enhanced interoperability that improves staff productivity and simplifies medication ordering,” said Andy Horowitz, CEO, Enclara. “Our partnership with WellSky directly benefits clinicians by reconciling similar data points to improve communication and collaboration across all care providers, including pharmacists. Eliminating redundant data entry not only reduces potential errors — it also improves the clinician experience and enhances mobile ordering for medication, durable medical equipment, and medical supplies through our proprietary E3 Mobile application.”

This partnership leverages Enclara’s longstanding expertise in profile and patient medication management that improves the quality and experience of the EMR medication profile. Hospice staff can spend less time on data entry using the integration’s intuitive field entry selection for appropriate medication. This simplifies translation and communication of the EMR medication profile to prescription creation and ultimately, patient medication access. This breakthrough reduces hospice staff burdens in replicating information to comply with multiple regulations, and also decreases errors in communication and time to procure medications and ultimately helps alleviate patient symptoms.

This partnership further supports Enclara’s innovative E3 Mobile solution, which offers centralized ordering, fulfillment, and management of medications, durable medical equipment, and medical supplies. E3 Mobile significantly improves the hospice staff user experience by leveraging one-time entry of data elements for documenting and requesting medication dispensation. This reduces administrative workloads, giving clinicians opportunities for even more meaningful interactions with patients.

With simplified documentation and reduced time spent on clerical data entry, clinicians are free to focus pharmacist interactions on patient-specific consultations and drive better outcomes. Coupled with Enclara’s real-time reporting dashboards, this partnership with WellSky gives hospices a unified view of clinical expenses and patient utilization and a solution unmatched by other PBM providers.

“WellSky empowers hospices with the insights and technology they need to provide even better care to people in their communities,” said Bill Miller, CEO of WellSky. “We are aligned with Enclara in our shared commitment to deliver high quality solutions that improve both operational and clinical efficiency. Our preferred partnership strengthens our customers’ ability to focus on what matters most: caring for patients.”
