Raymond Capella leads clinical services at Enclara Pharmacia, an area which includes the pharmacist-driven strategic support provided to each of Enclara’s hospice clients. He is also responsible for client data analytics, chronic illness management and other initiatives. Raymond has spent his entire career as a pharmacist at Enclara and its predecessor company, ExcelleRx, quickly rising to senior leadership on a track record of innovation and process improvement.
With a deep understanding of the intersection between clinical and financial outcomes, Raymond can speak on nearly all aspects of hospice management. He is especially sought after for his experience in business analytics, including how to draw actionable conclusions from utilization data. Other potential topics include organizational leadership, formulary management and quality initiatives.
Raymond has a particular interest in health equity, particularly when it comes to increasing access to and understanding of hospice among historically underserved communities. He believes in the power of storytelling to enhance health literacy and trust in clinicians to help more patients get the full benefit of hospice. Additionally, he would like to bring more attention to the unique role pharmacists play in hospice and the potential for pharmacological care to improve quality of life.
Raymond holds a Doctor of Pharmacy and MBA from Temple University, including Six Sigma Green Belt. He is based in the Philadelphia area.
